As Senior Administrative Officer, Minnesota Department of Commerce, one of our lawyers directed healthcare reform efforts for the Governor’s Health Cabinet on methods to reduce annual state healthcare costs of $40 billion through administrative uniformity and simplification, attaining primary consensus among healthcare industry leaders (representing healthcare providers and payers) on standardized, electronic medical billing to reduce costs and end over 14 years of the piecemeal agreement, resulting in an annual estimated reduction in costs of $56 million.
